Doodle Jumping
Now that you've downloaded the Doodle Jump app, you're probably wondering: what's the key to successful doodle jumping? As many Doodle Jump addicts will tell you, it takes a great amount of practice and time to master the art of doodle jumping, but we've put together a list of some of the best tips we can find to help you improve your gameplay.
Doodle Jumping for Beginners
New to the game? Here's the basics: your character, the Doodler, needs to navigate up a neverending series of platforms without falling off. Sounds simple right? Well as you probably already know, it's harder than it looks. You control your jumping doodle by tilting the gaming device in the direction you'd like him to head. When it comes down to it, the greater the angle, the greater the speed. If you use a Blackberry instead of an iPhone, the direction of your doodle is controlled by tapping in the desired direction.
One tip to help you gain speed is to get a boost from the various objects you encounter along the way, namely trampolines, propeller hats, springs, rockets, and jetpacks. If you see one, aim for it and use it to boost you up a few platforms higher! The obvious key to staying alive is to avoid black holes, try not to get abducted by a UFO, and fighting the biggest force of nature: gravity. Like the rest of us, it will take you some time to get used to doodle jumping - you need to get a feel for your gaming device, how the accelerometer works (the device which determines which direction you're turning your phone), and also learn when to watch out for broken or white platforms. Whatever you do, just stick with it - with enough practice, you'll figure it out!
